MERA DADDU is a heart-warming story of a grandfather and his orphaned grandson, Aslam. Daddu eeks a meager living by foraging for recyclables from a landfill. They live in a slum, but Daddu has resolved to give Aslam a better future not infested with the rotting life that he has had to live.

Death Hotel

In "Death Hotel," we follow 107-year-old Gulchu Bai's final days in the holy city Varanasi, where her family has checked her into one of the city´s revered death hotels to get salvation upon death. 


The film is exploring the complexities of this ancient tradition and its interplay with culture, spirituality, and mortality. A unique reflection on the circle of life, where death is not mourned but rather celebrated. 


Wedding Night

A group of working class colleagues decide to form a cooperative in 80s Spain to manufacture cork caps and capsules in Jerez, home of Sherry wine. 38 years later the remaining partners are about to retire and they reflect on the adventure of a lifetime and what it meant to be an entrepreneur then vs today. This part of their lives is over and a new one begins.

Roads

Divya, an eleven year old girl in a quaint Himalayan village dreams of becoming an astronaut. Crucial to her dream is the new road that will connect her small hamlet to a larger town and a bigger school. The road is made but it doesn't even withstand one monsoon due to the inherent corruption of the system which lines the pockets of all those involved in the construction.

The Saviouress The Mystery of a Buddhist Icon

Tara means savior in Pali and Sanskrit and thangka means icon. One of the main relics of the Stavropol State Museum-Reserve is the icon of the Indian deity Green Tara. At the end of the thirties of the last century, this icon disappeared. It seemed like forever. But then she was miraculously found. The film tells about why the thangka of the Green Tara is one of the most revered in Buddhist iconography.


Last Summer

The film tells the story of teenage skaters from Minsk who are enjoying the summer of 2020, probably the most difficult summer in the history of Belarus. Oi has been sent to another planet to search and research. While his space suit looks like the most intelligent life form on this planet, the details are lacking. 


Two One Two

Two One Two, by award-winning filmmaker Shira Avni, combines shimmering clay on glass animation with personal archives in this deeply intimate, experimental animated documentary love letter to motherhood, parenting on the spectrum, and two headed monsters everywhere.

Live Till I Die

Searching For Danill Ivanow

The film spans over 100 years and dates back to 1917. It is the story of the Manko-Ivanov family – grandfather, father, son and grandson. 


Grandfather (Daniil) was arrested for participating in the anti-Bolshevik peasant war in 1939 and disappeared without a trace. Father (Longin) was in Gulag and miraculously escaped execution. Son (Gennady) fought in Afghanistan and only the grandson (Anton) lives the ordinary life of modern youth: writes music and hangs out with friends. However, family riddles haunt him, too.


Lullaby of Wave

Through this documentary we have tried to capture the essence of values and traditions of the people of the village Momasar and how itʼs folk culture fabricates the sense of identity in people. This Documentary not only showcases the lives of people of Momasar during the festival of Holi but also goes far beyond to experience the art and craft of the people of this village, located in the Bikaner district of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. 


I am not Afraid

During a game of hide and seek Vanja leaves the bright living room and enters a dimly lit courtyard, which has far too many dark corners, weird shadows and strange noises. To overcome the fear, Vanja turns into a dangerous tiger!

Meenakshi

Meenakshi is judged as an adolescent girl for bleeding after her first periods, she is judged as a young woman for not wanting to have sex, she is judged as a young wife for wanting to learn music and then, when she is stripped of all desire and ambition, hence becoming conformed, she is judged for not having agency, for being ‘like a child’.


A Drop of Time

Amudhan visits his home after his father’s demise. As he recollects his memories the moments with his father, he finds a bunch of unsent letters written by his father.


ATM Card

A struggling actor turns to a life of deceit, using his voice to exploit vulnerable seniors through ATM card scams. As his fraudulent actions lead to a heartbreaking breakup and a downward spiral into mental instability, he reaches the brink of despair.


Missing Since 6.12.1956

This short film begins with two teachers at a government school in a small village finding out that they must be ready overnight for a surprise inspection by the senior government official in the morning. But they are missing an important photo from the school office wall. The photo is of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. 


Waiting for Kalki

Waiting for Kalki is a story about a day in the life of Vishnu, a daily wage leather tannery worker, stuck in the monotonous loop of poverty.

Tathagata Deb was born deaf and dumb. Later on, he had been diagnosed with a mental illness called "Delusion Disorder". But his mother was steadfast to get him cured. Due to her relentless effort and cooperation from other family members, doctors. teachers. Tathagata is now on a steady path to recovery. 


Seaside (Kadaloram)

Kasimedu fish market is one of the major fish markets in Chennai. It is a very lively place all day. From boats bringing fish to people buying it fresh directly from there, everything is quite interesting to observe. Kadaloram(seaside) is a short documentary film made on that place and the people.


Our Odyssey is Red

20 diverse young women choose to stay together in a home run by the NGO Kranti in Mumbai, India. What brings them together? Their past, they are all daughters of sex workers, and a very un-common goal to heal themselves and to live a life on their own terms. These women identify as Krantikaris/revolutionaries.

Madan Veri - breath of the Ghasis

This Docu-Fiction film is a factual documentation of the struggle to preserve the culture & heritage of Madan Veri alias 'Turi’, a metallic blowing instrument producing a very loud and distinct sound, played by a singular sub- caste called 'Ghasis' during specific rituals or delivering some messages since centuries in the Manbhum region of the state of Jharkhand and West Bengal, India.

Vivarta (meaning- Change of form / condition, Transformation) is a 10 min 30 sec experimental short film that combines folklore and poetry with images and sounds from nature.

The story revolves around two passionate badminton players, Aftab and Ajay. Aftab, who gets motivated by his coach, to stay focused on his ambition. Whereas for Ajay, his mother, being a sports enthusiast herself, acts as his support system.


LEH 107

"Leh 107" is a observational/experiential film that focuses on the lives of migrant workers at Khalsi Camp, located at an impressive altitude of 10,000 feet. The film's setting in such a secluded area, devoid of powerlines and mobile network coverage, adds an intriguing layer of isolation and challenges to the narrative.

The short film 'Van Gogh' takes the audience on an immersive journey through the protagonist's inner turmoil. It beautifully captures the essence of self-doubt, overthinking, and the relentless pursuit of perfection that plagues his psyche.

Mulsotan - The Rooted

‘Mulsotan’ is a documentary on the non-violent struggle of the Vasava tribal community in south Gujarat and their non-violent struggle for their land and forest rights spanning three decades.


Lost Images

This film is about a life left behind in a distant land, about a final departure, memory and loss, love and dead birds, visions and blindness. 


A visual poem also inspired by a drawing by Egon Schiele.
