For a mysterious reason every individual on earth is motionless. Of wax. They are all alive, they breathe, they communicate with their eyes, but they are still. They watch the days go by with theseasons. And the years. They always remain the same, existing without living.


Fillide is a young writer. In her city, she is the only one who can move. She lives with her

grandmother. She is made of wax too, like the rest of the people around Fillide.

A heated argument occurs when Abdullah (Mikhail Sen - House of Dragon, A Suitable Boy) declares he is joining the British Military to the shock of his pacifist father Omar (Adil Akram - Spectre, What's Love got to do with it?) and anger of his fundamentalist older brother Moh (James El-Sharawy - Tyrant, EastEnders). As their debate unfurls past resentments and revelations rise to the surface, boiling to a point where they can no longer contain themselves. The war on terror, the 7/7 bombings, the loss of the son's mother and the allegiance to either Islam or Britain. What will unfold. Family, Duty or Honour?

Cumbia's Day

Galvez Cumbia, a native Awajun from the Peruvian Amazon, travels in his memory to reconnect with the ways of existence of his culture. A candid journey that will make him cross the bridge of the Awajun imaginary.


FAT TUESDAY

Film "Fat Tuesday", shot with Lomography cameras, is an illustration of three carnivals taking place in different parts of Serbia. Film is trying to find balance between established ritual dynamics and random whimsies of those taking part in it, all the while raising questions about our relation to culture, tradition, nature and society.


How to Build a House out of Wreckage and Rags

Found footage: California in the 1950's and 60's. A young Indian couple enjoys their personal American dream come true in their home somewhere in the suburbs of San Francisco. In great detail they demonstrate their newly achieved wealth in front of their Super-8 camera. Like postcards, they would send these film rolls to their families back in India. 


Around the same time, an American missionary couple visits the city of Calcutta to shoot a Christian propaganda film. The drastic reality of poverty and famine in the streets of the Indian metropolis fits perfectly into their wicked plan: To promote the believe in Christ by showing the misery that pagan believers are doomed to suffer from.


Beast

A child, a 10-year old girl, witnesses her father’s death as a result of an attack of a wounded beast. The girl finds herself one to one with the predator. She knows that people are searching for her, but its a long way to the signal fires and there is only one bullet in her gun.


Mask

Dir: xiong bo lan; 18:11; China; Short film 


Chinese-American Wang Hao is a marathon runner. After the epidemic in 2020, his family died one after another. Physically disabled due to Covid-19 and its complications, he is confined to a wheelchair, and today he received a mask that will allow him to travel back in time to see his family again.


After the Wedding

A portrait of the relationship of toy collectors Ľuba and Janka, who after twelve years of cohabitation found themselves facing a life event - a wedding. The approaching commitment forces them to re-evaluate their lives and thus several "misunderstandings" about the future functioning of their relationship and household surface.


Before pandemic and war, there were bed bugs and love!

He was filming her. They were dreaming of living together between Bangladesh and Lithuania. They were dreaming to make films together, to open a 5 meals restaurant and to adopt orphans. Now he looks back at his life and his broken love relationship.
